Procreate,  InDesign, PhotoshopThe designers in this project must research the life and work of a selected writer. I chose Emily Dickinson as my publication subject.
This project is to design an eight-page text-heavy publication, plus a cover.

My visual approach is to evocate the feelings and moods in Dickinson's writing, rather than with typical photography. I hope to utilize visual randomness to represent Dickinson's unique style when utilizing capitalization and punctuation.

My cover design was inspired by the materials she wrote with most often, ink and paper, and I utilized hand-drawn ink circles to inspire both her medium as well as the homeliness and intimacy of her writing style.
